Although it’s my second week reporting here at LI News Tonight, I feel I am becoming more accustomed to television news reporting. Noel Schumsky, an NYIT Alumnus spoke to international students on Sept. 28 about culture in New York City and how to cope with the different cultures. He also briefly spoke to the students from countries including India and Mexico about some United States History. He gave them a speedy history class on the branches of goverment, when the Constitution was signed and what it resembles. What I think was most fascinating about the presentation besides talking and meeting with peers from a different part of the world was the fact that we were using 2010 technology to also speak with students at the Manhattan Campus on 61st and Broadway. We made this possible by utilizing the live feed learning technology. Overall, it was a fun experience and it was good for me to brush up on my history also. Be sure to check out my piece sometime on LI News Tonight.
