Last week I was asked to take on a story- the 20th Annual Flower & Garden Show at Hick’s Nurseries.  The gardens were magnificent included was a tropical garden filled with a bright array of plants, a waterfall and a fish pond underneath a man-made bridge, an edible garden featuring peppers, herbs, fruits and many more.  Best of all was seeing Long Islanders, of all ages come experience the healing powers of nature and be inspired through the creativity of these amazing floral designers. Hick’s  is also raising funds for an elementary school in Haiti and will match up to $1,000 of visitor’s donations.

NYIT has given me the privilege to augment my writing, editing, and people skills, being in front of camera, and most importantly, TELLING A STORY and sharing it with fellow Long Islanders.
